The aim of the programme is to prepare future graduates to scientific carriers in zoology and related fields of biology. Current zoology is an interdisciplinary science employing a wide range of conceptual frames and methodologies. This provide graduates with plethora of additional opportunities.

Graduate profile for the public:
A graduate is able to apply multiple conceptual and methodological approaches to research in the field of animal biology. He or she is familiar with specific characters and natural diversity of principal clades of animals, and has a detailed knowlege concerning topics belonging to his field of expertise. Graduates find jobs as researchers and lecturers in academic institution (universities, institutes the Czech Academy of Sciences, etc.), curators in museums and zoos, officers at ministry of the environment, as well as researchers im applied research in the fields of ecology, environment, agriculture and biomedicine.
