The standard duration of the study is 3 years in the full-time form of studies or in the combined form of studies. The programme is focused academically. After successful completion of the studies, the Bachelor (Bc.) degree is awarded.
Nutritional therapy is a study programme focused on diagnosis of poor nutrition and its right therapeutic and preventative applications.
During the studies, the student learns about the basics of all medical fields: anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, internal medicine etc., and he/she is subsequently able to analyse the patient’s problems and respond to them adequately. The nutritional therapist is able to design nutritional plans basing on the doctor’s indication and without supervision, including the calculations of biological and energetic values.

Graduate profile for the public:
Graduates of the bachelor programme of Nutritional Therapy are awarded the professional qualification to work as a nutritional therapist pursuant to Section 15 of Act No. 96/2004 Coll. and are qualified for activities which provide nutrition in health care, the prevention of illness and the preparation and management of diet for patients of all age groups.
The profession of a nutritional therapist is a form of prophylactic care in the field of clinical nutrition as specific nursing care focused on meeting the nutritional needs of the individual. The nutritional therapist, in co-operation with a physician participates in the therapeutic and diagnostic care in the field of clinical nutrition.
