SP characteristics

Doctoral study programme Inorganic Chemistry extends the master degree study programme of the same name with an aim of further developing the students' skils and expertise. Nevertheless, it is also opened to graduates from the related disciplines with the appropriate education (master degree in Chemistry). The study programme covers the whole field of Inorganic chemistry at the more advanced level with particular emphasis on the modern aspects. The scope of acquired knowledge is comparable with other european universities. The graduate gains an extensive knowledge of contemporary inorganic chemistry, is well-versed in the use of advanced instrumental techniques of synthesis and analysis of chemical compounds, is fully competent to plan and manage scientific work and to evaluate the collected results. He/She is fully competent to become a member of a research team either in the Czech Republic or at any foreing institution. The graduate is capable of critically evaluating and presenting scientific results and can easily adapt to related fields owing to his/her wide education and experiences.

Graduate profile for the public:
The graduate gained profound theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of Inorganic Chemistry. In this area, he/she is ready to analyse complex scientific and practical problems and propose the optimal approaches and procedures of their solution, including subsequent practical implementation. The graduate knows modern synthetic methods and analytical techniques and reliably interprets their results. He/She uses the collected knowledge, creative approach and critical evaluation of results in the field of Inorganic Chemistry and, if appropriate, also in the related disciplines at universities, at research institutes, development centres, industrial enterprises and also at educational institutions.
