SP characteristics

Analytical chemistry is based not only on all chemical disciplines, but also on physics, biology, information theory, and a variety of technical disciplines. It provides information about the identity, structure and amount of components in natural and man-made objects and their distribution in space and time. It collaborates with other fields of science to find a link between the chemical composition of substances and their properties. It is an applied multidisciplinary field with many feedbacks that emphasizes collective work on problem solving. It requires mastering the principles of a number of disciplines, such as general and physical chemistry, physics, mathematics, a good overview of inorganic and organic chemistry and biochemistry and, above all, gaining deep knowledge of the theoretical foundations of analytical chemistry and modern instrumental analytical methods. Due to the experimental nature of the field, practical skills and habits play an important role.

Graduate profile for the public:
Graduates of the doctoral program “Analytical Chemistry” gain advanced theoretical and practical experience in the field of chemical and instrumental methods of analysis, chemometry and knowledge to ensure the quality of analytical results, method validation and accreditation of analytical laboratories. Graduates of the program asset themselves in a wide range of the development, optimization and verification of new procedures of analytical practice management and analysis necessary in research, industrial and agricultural production and protection of environment and human health in research institutes, health, pharmaceutical and food companies, labor and life control laboratories environment, clinical and toxicology laboratories. Graduates of the program are among the most sought after and most adaptable researchers in terms of their future practical application.
