The aim of the programme is to offer an education in the teaching of Spanish language and literature written in Spanish through a two-stage model of teacher training which enables modules in general teacher training, Spanish studies-oriented teacher training, and language and literature to be structured over five years while maintaining – for both the single-curriculum and the double-curriculum versions of the programme – all the indisputable advantages of the present-day degree structure.

Graduates are equipped with academic and pedagogical skills required for continuation in the master’s degree course in the teaching of Spanish language and literature, or in related subjects. They are qualified for professions which require an excellent command of the Spanish language and culture, including popularisation, media and teaching.
