Study programmes

The education in the Study Programme gives the graduates complete general and specific knowledge and skills in the areas of pedagogy, didactics, psychology, didactics of individual fields of sport and general qualification which are the basic aspects of their future career and also their personal growth in the academic education.
Professional knowledge enables the graduates:
- to identify and specify particular steps leading to pupil's education based on the Framed Educational Programmes for Physical Education, Healthy lifestyle Education, the Man, Sport and Health for secondary school students, especially Czech highschools and secondary schools with sport specialization
- to work at departments of physical education of different universities and other higher education institutions. It means to use the learning of movement when preparing the future pedagogical and non-pedagogical experts working in the area of physical education. The graduates' knowledge can be also used when assessing the aspects of the process of education and suggesting following didactical and methodical steps.
- to choose and suggest in an expert way sport activities and didactical methods when performing so that they would not only match with the movement skills and fitness of the academics but also develop these skills and fitness.
The graduates can work as physical education teachers at all types of secondary schools. They can also widen their knowledge and skills in the particular branch by choosing one the Specializations Health Education, Education in Nature, Coaching with a Sport Specialization.
The graduate of the Study Programme in the joint study programme – the Main Study Plan (Maior), which is performed with partner Faculties of Charles University has the competences to teach physical education and other study subject such as Czech language and literature, mathematics, geography and biology at all types of secondary schools.
The Study Plan Minor focuses on gaining essential knowledge and skills for teaching physical education and of the study subject performed in the joined study programme in the Plan Maior.
The Programme also enables the graduate to apply for any form of postgradual education including the Doctoral Study Programme.
