The summer practice of the 4th year students is compulsory and given by the study plan. The student undergoes 2 weeks of practical experience (80 hours) in the clinical inpatient department for adults of his own choice or in the general practitioner's office for adults. The summer practice is aimed at deepening and strengthening the theoretical and practical skills acquired during the lessons.

The aim of the practice is to acquire a relationship to the patient and a comprehensive approach to his / her health problems. The student should work independently under the guidance of a specialist. In practice, students should deepen their knowledge of examination procedures and methods in connection with diagnostics, treatment and preventive measures in patients. Another goal is to strengthen the clinical skills of students - be able to obtain from the patient the corresponding anamnestic data, to perform his complete physical examination, diagnosis, or ev. further examination program, therapy, training of technical skills (skills) and professional qualifications for the profession (professional behavior, estimation of own professional possibilities, respect for human dignity of the patient and preservation of medical secret).
