The course presents students with key concepts of the theory of grammaticalization and methodologies which are to be used in a grammaticalization research. Special emphasis is put to the application of acquired skills into practice. Apart from discussion of particular studies in the field, one of the students’ task is to propose a research project on a grammaticalization phenomenon.
