Introduction and Definition of Gymnastics Sports (Partial Specialization - Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic
Gymnastics, Aerobics, Trampolining, Sports Acrobatics, Rock and Roll, Teamgym). The subject covers the history
and current state of each sport, terminology, and competition rules. In both theoretical and practical aspects,
common foundations of gymnastics sports are created and developed, along with fundamental knowledge and
skills for future coaches.

By studying the subject, students acquire knowledge of the sport specializations within gymnastics. This course is the first in a series of subjects focusing on sports specialization in the field of gymnastics. Collectively, these subjects, along with others, form the framework of theoretical knowledge and skills, including those professionally necessary for the role of a coach in one of the chosen gymnastics sports. Upon completing the course, students:
Understand and can explain the issues related to the institutional support of gymnastics sports in both national and international contexts.
Can apply basic methods for developing conditioning prerequisites used in gymnastics sports in practice.
Know and can practically apply the basics of teaching methods for disciplines involving hanging, support, and jumping.
Are capable of designing, implementing, and evaluating a training session within the context of a long-term plan for sports training in gymnastics sports.
Know and practically apply the principles of warm-up creation in gymnastics sports for various age and performance categories.
