International course taught with Hadassah Academic College in Jerusalem. This year unfortunately, we cannot organize the field trip to Israel.
The presented course is a unique collaboration between the Faculty of Social Science and Hadassah Academic College in Jerusalem. This course aims to exchange various knowledge from both countries, including political, cultural, and media concerning current conflicts between Russia-Ukraine and Hamas-Israel. The course combines several skills, such as learning about current world conflicts, international media and media strategies, critical thinking, social engagement, cross-cultural communication, and English skills. Students will work in teams and collaborate on a joint project during the course. The course structure will be as follows: First, we will cover theoretical aspects concerning the two conflicts. Second, the students will work in small mixed groups about an aspect of the confits while comparing it across the cases. The language of instruction is English.
