A course for first-year students that covers basic proof techniques (direct proof, contrapositive proof, contradiction
proof, induction) in several mathematics contexts (i.e., set theory, functions, relations, elementary number theory,
elementary real analysis). The course aims to be very explicit about the norms and conventions of mathematical
proof-writing to help students transition to proof-based mathematics.
