The course is primarily intended for Erasmus students. It covers various topics of Remote Sensing (RS), Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Cartography:
- Introduction to Remote Sensing
- RS data: USGS archives (Landsat, MODIS), Sentinel-2A*
- Land cover classification*
- Object based classification
- RADAR remote sensing*
- LiDAR basics
- Copernicus land service, RS Big Data and Cloud computing (Google Earth Engine and Sentinel Hub Apps)
- Open GIS and Open Data, QGIS I.
- QGIS II.
- Spatial Data Analysis using GIS
- Automation of spatial data processing and analysis*
- Cartography in a nutshell
To complete the course and to get credits you shall:
- Participate at the lectures (two absences are accepted)
- Deliver 4 assignments in topics marked with * (Remote Sensing – 3, GIS Analysis – 1) before 10th May of the respective academic year.
