Writing for impact: One of the biggest challenges today is the ability to transfer scientific results to business, the public sector and other users in order to achieve the greatest positive societal impact. Scientific research often ends with the publication of a scientific article, dissertation, or thesis, and often interesting results are no longer worked on, or take several years to reach the end users. The course is based on transfer experience from the University of St. Andrews and will be delivered in collaboration with the UK Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer. Online tutorials will also be available to students. Completion of the course will consist of a case study of maximum 3 pages where students will describe how they would implement the transfer of knowledge from their article, dissertation, thesis and describe the positive social effects that can be achieved by using their knowledge. Completion requirements: case study on how you will translate the results of your research (e.g. article, dissertation, thesis) into practice and achieve positive change in society, max 3 pages.Lectures: 3 individual meetings and discussion
