Kurz se v rozšířené míře zaobírá problematikou vnitrostátních konfliktů po roce 1945 se zaměřením na rozvojové státy (v konfliktních a nestabilních regionech). Cílem kurzu je seznámit studenty s problematikou vlivem geografického faktoru na vznik konfliktů, legitimity (teritoriální a vládní) státu, její krizí a kolapsem. Po seznámení s teoretickými přístupy ke studiu konfliktů je věnována pozornost příčinám vnitrostátních konfliktů, klasifikaci ozbrojených konfliktů (rozdělení na konflikty protirežimní, konflikty vedené snahou o prosazení autonomie a odtržení území dalšími klasifikacemi konfliktů dle rozsahu, délky trvání, mezinárodního práva a podobně). Kurz se zaobírá i intenzitou, časovým výskytem konfliktů v politickém prostoru a možnými způsoby řešení konfliktů. Zvýšená pozornost je věnována konfliktům v Afghánistánu, Sýrii, Mozambiku, Angole, Súdánu, Somálsku, Sierra Leone a dalším. Stranou pozornosti nezůstává ani geopolitický přesah jednotlivých vnitropolitických konfliktů.

The course covers the issue of internal conflicts after 1945 from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. It looks at contemporary as well as historical cases and introduces the most important theoretical perspectives.

Požadavky ke zkoušce -
Důležité upozornění: účast na 1. hodině (semináři je povinná z důvodu organizace kurzu) Podmínkou absolvování kurzu je aktivní účast na seminářích a úspěšné absolvování závěrečného testu, který obsahuje problematiku obsaženou v přednáškách a povinné literatuře. V rámci semestru budou probíhat semináře, kterých se musí všichni studenti účastnit. Povinností studentů je aktivní účast (povolena jedna absence), četba a vypracovávání zadaných otázek týkajících se četby.

Seminars will be held during the semester, which all students must attend.
