Advanced Topics in Corporate Finance is a graduate course designed to provide the student with an advanced background of the responsibilities, concerns and methods of analysis employed by corporate financial managers in financing firms. The course introduces advanced topics related to private (e.g., banks) and public (e.g. corporate bonds) markets to raise debt, credit risk analysis and credit derivatives. The course combines the latest academic thinking with hands‐on business practice and its main goal is that students should develop an expanded ability to analyse and think about advanced and complex financial management decisions, and to defend these decisions with analytical reasoning.
