The course addresses these topics:
1. What makes a good presentation? 2. Structure of presentations 3. Language of presentations 4. Guided presentation practice 5. Giving and getting feedback 6. Using visuals and equipment; PowerPoint or Prezi presentation programmes 7. Dealing with questions - asking, responding,answering 8. Formal and informal presentation practice Examination: Final students´ results are based on active participation throughout the course and continuous assessment - these include oral parts, i.e. delivering presentations, and written parts - written home assignments, written feedback on other course participants´ presentations and on the course. 1. Minimum 80% attendance (you can miss 2 classes at maximum, you have to participate in at least 3 of 4 final conference sessions - or 2 out of 3 - depending on group size and semester length) 2. Submitting all written home assignments on time 3. Oral part - delivering one guided and one free (final) presentation 4.
