    Information on the admission procedure: The entrance examination consists of a written test in Chemistry, Biology and Physics. The requirements are similar to the British “A” level examination requirements. In total, there will be 75 questions, with each subject having an allocation of 25 questions. There is always only one correct answer and is assigned with 1 point. There are no penalties in case of mistakes. The tests are administered and marked by a university/faculty professor. Beside a successful passing of the entrance examination test, submitting of a completely legalized High school diploma/certificate in accordance with the information on our website http://www.lfp.cuni.cz/clanek/252-when-passed-the-entrance-examination-test-successfully.html is strictly required, as an essential and legal condition for admission. Documents must be sent in a hard copy form by post to the following address of the Faculty or submitted personally to the Lékařská fakulta v Plzni English Study Department - Admissions Office alej Svobody 1655/76, 323 00 Plzeň no later than 31st August 2024 together with a proof of payment/payment receipt confirming that the assessment fee – if required, has been paid. Candidate, who fail the entrance examination may not retake the exam during that same academic year. Candidate who succesfully passed the entrance examination test by achieving a required number of points and submitted their High school documents/certificates in accordance with legal requirements will be admitted for study. The admission of students remains however within the responsibility of the Dean of the Faculty. Admitted students enroll at the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen in late September of the same year.

    Information on the admission procedure: Admission requirements: 1. A completed online application form; 2. Printed out, signed and sent application form, together with other supporting documents at the address of the Dean's office, Department of Science and Research; 3. Completed university Master's degree program, no later than the date of the beginning of the academic year October 1, 2024; 4. Recognition of education and qualification gained by studies at foreign universities; 5. Passing of the entrance interview. The admission procedure is initiated on the basis of a submitted application within the deadline. The entrance examination takes the form of an interview in which professional and language skills are examined as well as the readiness of candidates for independent scientific work in the chosen field. The oral interview comprises of several parts, which are evaluated separately, see the description of the entrance examination for individual study programmes. Recognition of Master's degree from universities outside the Czech Republic: The deadline for submission of the required documents for recognition is 30 September 2023 according to the Rector´s Directive 13/2023 (7), and 22 October 2024 according to the Rector´s Directive 13/2023 (8). The following documents may be used to prove compliance with the requirement of successful completion of study in a Master’s programme of study at a foreign higher education institution: A) a document proving general recognition of foreign higher education in the Czech Republic (so-called general “nostrification”) The applicant must submit: An authenticated copy of a document obtained in accordance with sections 89 and 90 of the Higher Education Act or in accordance with prior legal regulations proving general recognition of a foreign higher education in the Czech Republic. It is issued by the public higher education institutions, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the Ministry of the Interior, or the Ministry of Defence. For more information on the procedure for recognising foreign higher education at Charles University see: https://www.cuni.cz/UK-6452.html The fee of CZK 3.000 is paid to Rector's Office that deals with nostrifications (nostrification is valid within the whole Czech Republic). B) a document concerning a foreign higher education which is automatically equivalent in the Czech Republic without any further administrative procedures A foreign document concerning a foreign higher education which is automatically equivalent in the Czech Republic in accordance with its international agreements without any further administration procedures – these include documents certifying completion of a programme of study in Slovakia (with the exception of diplomas issued by foreign branches of Slovak higher education institutions after 28 March 2015 to which the procedure under letter (c) is applicable), in Poland, Hungary, or Slovenia (only Master’s diplomas, the procedure under letter (c) is applicable to Bachelor’s diplomas from Slovenia). The applicant must submit: An authenticated copy of diploma, certificate, or similar document (for example a certificate of completion of study) issued by a foreign higher education institution; An original or authenticated copy of the diploma supplement or the transcript of examinations passed; In the case of a certificate of higher education issued by a Slovak higher education institution after 28 March 2015, also a statement issued by a foreign higher education institution in the state in which the programme of study completed by the applicant was offered. C) foreign document concerning a foreign higher education assessed by the faculty The applicant must submit: An authenticated copy of the diploma, certificate, or similar document (for example a certificate of completion of study) issued by a foreign higher education institution; An original or an authenticated copy of the Diploma Supplement or the transcript of examinations passed. If needed the faculty will request the applicant to submit also the following documents: Additional information on the content and scope of foreign higher education; A statement issued by the relevant foreign body confirming that the given higher education institution is authorised to offer higher education in the given foreign state (a statement on accreditation). In the case of a certificate of higher education issued by a Slovak higher education institution after 28 March 2015, also a statement issued by a foreign higher education institution in the state in which the programme of study completed by the applicant was offered. Applies to documents to which the procedure under letter (b) cannot be applied. In the case of a positive assessment the document is accepted; in the case of a negative assessment the applicant is required to submit a document under letter (a) (general “nostrification”) The assessment is valid only for the admissions procedure at one faculty. The documents proving the foreign education should be delivered to the faculty by 30 July 2024. A fee of CZK 930 is paid when the applicant applies for assessment of his/her previous education.     Application form requisites: It's possible to apply for more study programs. However, the application form must be filled out and the admission fee must be paid for each of them. A list of published scientific articles - The applicants from abroad who wish to study in Czech language need to submit a proof of their Czech language proficiency at the level of minimum B2 (not relevant for applicants from Slovakia)

    Information on the faculty: The Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen is one of seventeen faculties of the venerable Charles University in Prague. It was established by Decree No. 135 of 27th October 1945 issued by President Edvard Beneš. The medical studies are divided into two basic study programmes – General Medicine and Dentistry.
