The Study Programme (SP) Gynecology and Obstetrics, Pediatrics is academically aimed SP. SP Gynecology and Obstetrics, Pediatrics focuses on individual disciplines within subspecialties of Gynecology and Obstetrics and Pediatrics, but not separately, striving to link individual scientific disciplines and provide the graduate with broad and comprehensive interdisciplinary skills and knowledge. The aim of the study is to asess comprehensively individual specialties and the connections of individual subspecialties It is also an integral part of the profile of a graduate in the fields of Gynecology and Obstetrics and Pediatrics to transmit the results of scientific work directly to clinical practice or to specific outcomes of applied research. PhD graduate is able to publish the conclusions of the particular research in scientific journals, to present them to an expert audience and the broad public and also to translate them to clinical praxis or other fields of applied research. Study program without specialization.

The entrance examination takes the form of an interview in which professional and language skills are examined primarily as well as the readiness of applicant for independent scientific work in the chosen field. Interviews comprise of:
1. English language (0-20 points) - the applicant's ability to describe the proposed project in English and then discuss it.
2. Specialized topic (0-40 points) - the quality of the dissertation project and the level of preparation of its annotation, the relation of the submitted project to the focus of the intended supervisor and the financial aspect of the project.
3. Examination from the field (0-30 points) - the applicant's basic theoretical knowledge in relation to the dissertation topic and general overview.
4. Publications and lecturing activities (0-10 points).

At least 70 points are required for successful passing of the entrance interview.

To be admitted to the combined study, an applicant must obtain a minimum number of points for successful completion of the entrance examination which equals to the minimum number of points required for admission.

Admission to Doctoral studies is conditioned by successful completion of a Master's study programme.

The graduate is able to work as a researcher in the field of Gynaecology and Obstetrics or Paediatrics. In addition to clinical work, he/she is able to design and conduct studies that advance the possibilities of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Paediatrics or that are directly applicable to clinical practice. He/she can apply his/her knowledge preferably in a university department or research institute.
