      The Experimental Intensive Medicine program provides a unique opportunity for medical and allied health professionals to focus on developing skills in scientific research and experimental work.     • Description of verification and evaluation criteria

      The entrance examination takes the form of a brief presentation of a project in English (max. 7 slides and 7 minutes) followed by an oral interview in Czech or English, at the applicant's discretion. The participation of the intended supervisor, if specified, is recommended. The student's aptitude for scientific work in the field and their ability to successfully complete the programme are assessed.
      The evaluation is based on the following criteria:
      1. Originality of the submitted project: Evaluation of the quality and originality of the dissertation proposal, clarity and precise formulation of the research question and hypotheses, quality and specificity of the methodology and its consistency with the research question: 0–30 points.
      2. The feasibility of the submitted project is evaluated according to the following criteria:
      a) Realism of the plan for obtaining research data within the given time frame (e.g. recruitment of patients, samples, etc.): 0–10 points.
      b) Dedicated research time: The applicant's willingness and ability to devote exclusive time to the project and whether they have a specific plan for doing so: 0-15 points.
      c) Financial security of the project or the assumption of its acquisition: 0-5 points,
      3. Previous scientific activities: Publications, presentations at conferences, participation in student scientific conferences, etc.: 0–5 points.
      4. Cooperative dimension of the project: Potential for scientific cooperation between disciplines and research institutions (national and international).
      a) Cooperation of multiple institutions in the project: 0-5 points,
      b) Plan for a stay abroad as part of the study plan: 0-10 points,
      c) Applicant's active knowledge of English: 0–10 points.
      5. Applicant's motivation, knowledge of the chosen topic and ability to discuss it critically: 0–10 points.
      To pass the entrance examination, it is necessary to obtain more than 50 points.

      In order to be admitted to the full-time study, an applicant must obtain the minimum number of points for successful completion of the entrance examination and at the same time obtain the minimum number of points required for admission. The minimum number of points for admission is determined by the Dean on the basis of the results of the entrance examinations, taking into account the expected number of admitted applicants and the economic and capacity possibilities of the faculty. 

      To be admitted to the combined study, an applicant must obtain a minimum number of points for successful completion of the entrance examination which equals to the minimum number of points required for admission.
