      The administrative fee for the procedures associated with the admission procedure is not refundable. The fee must be paid no later than the third day following the deadline for submitting the application for doctoral study. Failure to pay the fee within this period shall be deemed as a withdrawal of the application.

      Once the application has been filled in online, the Information System will generate a six-digit code for each applicant, which must be used as the specific symbol during the payment of the administrative fee. Please note that once the application has been completed, it must be submitted (by clicking on the Send button) in order to become valid.       Physiotherapy is a subject in a health care area focusing on diagnostics, functional therapy of movement system disorders. Physiotherapy also influences the functions of the other systems including the psychical one throughout the movement and other physiotherapeutical processes.
      The Programme offers a 3 year study programme for secondary school with final state exam graduates. The programme is devided into 6 semesters and the students take courses in the areas which are necessary for the physiotherapeutical treatmet such as biology, anathomy, physiology, pathology, pathophysiology, biophysics, biomechanics and kinesiology. The courses based on physiotherapy such as Examination and Rherapeutic Methods in Physiotherapy, Introduction in Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, Balneology, and others (Internal Medicine, Surgery, Traumatology and Orthopaedics, Gynecology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Orthotics-Prosthetics) as well as the courses of prophylactic treatment such as Basics of Ergotherapy, Remedial physical education or Adapted PE for Handicaped People form the essencial part of the Study programme. The Study programme puts the emphasis on gaining practical skills which are required during the physiotherapetical procedures and treatment which take plece under a specialist supervision at the medical institutions. The curricular internship under the specialist supervision is also a part of the Study programme and is required every year. When the student gains 180 ECTS credits he or she takes the Final State Exam insluding Bachelor Thesis Defence, theoretical exams and practical medical institution exam.

      The applicant is required to attach to an Application form a/ a letter of motivation and b / proof of qualifications (e.g. a legalised copy of documents certifying completion of secondary education in the case of a bachelor programme or a legalised copy of a Bachelor´s diploma in the case of a follow-up Masters degree programme), c/ curriculum vitae, d) letter of recommendation for study, e/ internationally recognised certificate proving the applicant’s English language skills. All the documents have to be officially translated into Czech or English language.

      All attachments must be sent together with the application, no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on 31th March 2026.

      The fee for the recognition of previous education is payable together with the application. (CZK 990,--)The fee for actions related to the admission procedure is non-refundable.

      An applicant who does not properly complete the application form and does not submit attachments will be informed by the faculty and asked to eliminate the deficiencies within a reasonable period of time. If the deficiencies are not eliminated within this period, the application procedure will be terminated.

      Interview entrance exam - possibility of an online interview (Microsoft Teams)

      The applicant is assessed based on the following three criteria:

      1. Motivation letter (assessment of the formal and content level, relevance of the motivation to the chosen              study program); assessment range: 0–5 points

      2. Language competences in English (assessment of the applicant's ability to communicate in English in a            common and professional context); assessment range: 0–10 points

      3. Understanding of a professional text (analysis and discussion of a submitted short professional text in                English,the matically focused on issues related to the content of the Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy);          assessment range: 0–10 points)

      The maximum possible score is 25 points.

      The applicant's final score is determined as the arithmetic average of the points scored by all members of the committee, rounded to a whole number.
      An applicant whose final score in the entrance examination does not reach the minimum set limit of 15 points has not met the conditions of the admissions procedure and cannot be admitted to study.

      Each member of the admissions committee evaluates the applicant independently.

      The applicant will be invited to an interview by the Faculty based on meeting all the conditions of the admission procedure (submission of all mandatory attachments, payment of the fee).

      When enrolling for studies, applicants must provide:

      1. Medical report on health fitness to study at FTVS UK, which confirms that the student: 

           a. Medically fit to complete the Physiotherapy study program at FTVS UK, including all practical activities               and performances associated with  teaching;

            b. the student has not been diagnosed with any disease or health condition specified in Decree                              No. 271/2012 Coll., as amended, which would exclude his/her medical fitness to future exercise of the                profession of physiotherapist (non-medical health worker pursuant to Section 24 of Act No. 96/2004                    Coll., as amended)

      2. Confirmation of the validity of vaccination against viral hepatitis B and measles, which confirms that the               student:

           a. has a valid vaccination against viral hepatitis B or a laboratory-proven appropriate level of protective anti-            HBs antibodies

           b. has sufficient protection against measles, i.e. a laboratory-proven level of protective antibodies or a                   current booster vaccination

      Proof of qualifications

      The applicant who completed the previous level of education at a foreign secondary school, must submit one of the following documents: a document proving that a foreign document concerning the obtainment of secondary education is generally recognised as equivalent or valid in the Czech Republic (so-called “nostrification”), or a document proving the granting of the European Baccalaureate, or a foreign document concerning a foreign secondary education completed with a “maturita” examination, if it is deemed automatically equivalent in the Czech Republic in accordance with its international agreements without any further administrative procedures (a “maturita school-leaving certificate” from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, or Slovenia), or a foreign document concerning a foreign secondary education to be assessed by the faculty (for a fee of CZK 990).       A graduate of the bachelor's study field of physiotherapy is a "Physiotherapist" who has gained the professional qualification to perform the profession through his studies and is authorized to provide services that develop, maintain and restore a person's maximum movement and functional abilities. It can help people at all stages of life when their movement and function are compromised by age, injury, disease, disorder, conditions or environmental factors. A physiotherapist helps people to improve their quality of life to the maximum extent in terms of physical, emotional and social aspects. He is active in the health field of promotion, prevention, and treatment, including intervention and rehabilitation, to return the patient to everyday life.
