A graduate of the Fitness Coach program is a prepared professional in the field of fitness training. He has a wide knowledge and skills that allow him to create and implement training and movement programs for different groups of people. He or she can not only design a training plan, but also adapt it to the needs of a specific group, and deliver it effectively through teaching. The graduate is prepared to work in both elite sport and sport for the general public, including health-oriented programs. His/her skills include coaching, methodological, psychological and social aspects that allow him/her to take a comprehensive approach to working with clients.

The applicant is required to attach to an Application form a/ a letter of motivation b/ a sports doctor’s confirmation that they can study at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, proof of qualifications (e.g. a legalised copy of documents certifying completion of secondary education in the case of a Bachelors programme, or a legalised copy of a Bachelor´s diploma in the case of a follow-up Masters degree programme), d/ curriculum vitae, e) letter of recommendation for study, f/ internationally recognised certificate proving the applicant’s English language skills. All the documents have to be officially translated into Czech or English language.

All attachments must be sent together with the application, no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on 31th March 2026.

The fee for the recognition of previous education is payable together with the application. (CZK 990,--)The fee for actions related to the admission procedure is non-refundable.

An applicant who does not properly complete the application form and does not submit attachments will be informed by the faculty and asked to eliminate the deficiencies within a reasonable period of time. If the deficiencies are not eliminated within this period, the application procedure will be terminated.

Interview entrance exam - possibility of an online interview (Microsoft Teams)

3. Verification of interest in the studied field (discussion verifying understanding of the English text describing ) 0 - 10 points

The total point gain is calculated as the average sum of points obtained from individual commission members and rounded to one decimal place.

An applicant whose final score in the entrance exam does not reach the minimum set limit of 15 points has not met the admissions requirements and cannot be admitted to the study.

In total, it is possible to get 0-30 points.

The applicant will be invited to an interview by the Faculty based on meeting all the conditions of the admission procedure (submission of all mandatory attachments, payment of the fee).

Admission to Bachelor's studies is conditioned by completed secondary education confirmed by a school-leaving certificate.

 Proof of qualifications

The applicant who completed the previous level of education at a foreign secondary school, must submit one of the following documents: a document proving that a foreign document concerning the obtainment of secondary education is generally recognised as equivalent or valid in the Czech Republic (so-called “nostrification”), or a document proving the granting of the European Baccalaureate, or a foreign document concerning a foreign secondary education completed with a “maturita” examination, if it is deemed automatically equivalent in the Czech Republic in accordance with its international agreements without any further administrative procedures (a “maturita school-leaving certificate” from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, or Slovenia), or a foreign document concerning a foreign secondary education to be assessed by the faculty (for a fee of CZK 990). The applicant must send the documents in hard copy form by post (the documents cannot be sent by email) to the address of the faculty: José Martího 31, 162 52 Praha 6  no later than on 30. 6. 2026. A fee payment is made together with the payment of the fee for the admission procedure or when the applicant asks for assessment of his foreign education in the admissions procedure.

Graduates of the Fitness Coach programme can apply for the following professions:

    Conditioning coaches in top sports - work with professional athletes to improve their physical condition.
    Personal trainer - individual guidance of clients in gyms or sports centres.
    Coach in recreational sports - organizing and leading sports activities for the public.
    Instructor of health-oriented physical activities - conducting exercises aimed at prevention or rehabilitation.
    Sports diagnostician - conducting physical fitness diagnosis and designing training plans based on the results.
    Fitness centre or sports club manager - managing the operation of sports facilities.
    Healthy lifestyle advisor - providing advice on nutrition and physical activity.
    Trainer or lecturer - training other trainers or instructors.
