The entrance exam consists of two parts:
• During the first part of the entrance exam:
Applicants take a written multiple-choice test corresponding to standard secondary school curricula. The entrance exam topics and examples of the questions are available on our website. The written test comprises of 75 questions (20 Biology questions, 20 Chemistry questions, 20 Physics questions and 15 Logic questions). The question from Biology, Chemistry and Physics can have more than one correct answer, while Logic can only have one correct answer.
Applicants have 90 minutes to complete the entire test. For each correctly answered question, applicants get 3 points. No points are awarded if there is a discrepancy between the final selection and the correct answer. No points are lost for partial answers. The total number of points that can be obtained for the written test is 225. The completed tests are evaluated anonymously.
The Dean will determine the point threshold for advancing to the second part based on the results of the first part of the entrance exam and it will be available at the beginning of January 2026.
• During the second part of the entrance exam:
Applicants with the best written test results according to the Dean’s decision are subsequently invited for the interview. The interview takes place in front of a three-member committee of faculty’s staff. Applicants are expected to demonstrate their interest in the field of study, their ability to discuss medicine-related general topics, and they should be able to defend their opinions. The applicant randomly draws two discussion topics. For each of them he/she can get 1 to 20 points from each committee member, so in total 6 to 120 points can be obtained for the oral part.
The topics of the oral interview are generally related to medicine, ethics and the social impact of scientific and medical progress. The committee's assessment includes: social and communication skills, English proficiency, general overview (understanding of the question, overview of the topic), ability to formulate an answer and coherently discuss positive and negative arguments, and finally interest and motivation.
The dean may allow an alternative exam to a candidate who requests it in writing within three days from the date of the exam in due time if the candidate was unable to attend the exam in due time for serious and documented reasons, in particular medical reasons. Studying abroad, which is preparation for university studies, is a reason for allowing an alternative date. No further alternative date is allowed.
The overall result of the entrance examination is given by the sum of points from the written and oral parts of the entrance examination.
The point limit for admission after the 2nd round of the entrance examination is determined by the dean of the faculty according to the expected number of admissions.
