Bachelor’s degree programme Chemistry for Teacher Education prepares graduates mainly for the follow-up master study of future chemistry teachers in lower-secondary schools and upper-secondary schools where chemistry is a school subject of a general nature. Application outside the field of education, or for follow-up studies in related fields. The Program contains training of students in basic chemical disciplines (general, inorganic, organic analytical and physical chemistry and biochemistry) and in introduction to didactics of chemistry including various types of pedagogical practice. The knowledge and skills that students receive at lectures, seminars and laboratory exercises are the basis for a subsequent master's degree in teaching chemistry or other related disciplines.
The study program is designed so that its graduate has deep and up-to-date knowledge in biology, geology, environmental studies, pedagogy and psychology, he/she is familiar with working with biological and geological materials, he/she knows how to organize scientific excursions, meetings and expeditions and how to work with basic laboratory instruments and devices and ICT, and he/she has basic orientation in scientific and popular-science literature and e-sources.The study programme
Přijímací zkouška má dvě části:
1. Zkouška z 1. studijního programu, plán maior, max. 40 b.
2. Zkouška z 2. studijního programu, plán minor, max. 40 b.
Celkem max. 80 b.
Chemie se zaměřením na vzdělávání
Přijímací zkouška je písemná. Formou multikomponentních úloh ověřuje jednak znalosti z chemie v rozsahu středoškolského (gymnaziálního) učiva, jednak úroveň přírodovědné gramotnosti uchazeče. Jednotlivé úlohy obsahují otázky na porozumění poznatkům z oboru i komplexnější otázky zjišťující schopnost uchazeče propojovat tyto poznatky, analyzovat informace, pracovat s jednotlivými reprezentacemi dat (graf, tabulka, model apod.).
Maximální bodový zisk z testu je 40 bodů. Délka testu je 45 minut.
Biologie, geologie a environmentalistika se zaměřením na vzdělávání
Přijímací zkouška je pouze písemná, a to formou testu. Ověřuje znalosti biologie, geologie, ekologie a environmentalistiky v rozsahu středoškolského (gymnaziálního) učiva.
Maximální bodový zisk z testu je 40 bodů. Délka testu je max. 30 minut.
Admission to Bachelor's studies is conditioned by completed secondary education confirmed by a school-leaving certificate.

Graduates of The Bachelor’s degree programme Chemistry for Teacher Education education are prepared mainly for the follow-up master’s degree in chemistry teaching, but they can also find the application as teacher assistants or educators. Graduates can also be employed outside the education sector, for example in the state administration or in youth leisure facilities, where they can act as free time educators. Graduates can also find other uses as technical assistants of basic and applied research focusing on chemistry and related disciplines.
A graduate has deep and up-to-date knowledge in biology, geology and environmental studies, he/she is familiar with working with biological and geological materials, he/she knows how to organize scientific excursions and expeditions and how to work with basic laboratory instruments and devices and ICT, and he/she has basic orientation in scientific and popular-science literature and e-sources. He/she is also oriented in general topics of pedagogy, psychology and special pedagogy. A graduate can be employed especially in education, in civil service, environmental and nature protection-oriented NGOs, environmental stations, children and youths-oriented clubs and all other positions where communication, educational and scientific skills are needed.
