The study program was developed in accordance with the Qualification Standard of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic which is under regulation number 39/2005 Coll. The study program is focused on the fields of obstetrics and gynecology. Midwifery is primarily based on the scientific areas of nursing, obstetrics, gynecology, and neonatology. The focus of the program relates to the attainment of qualifications for providing direct care, which is oriented to the individual needs of women, newborns, families, and communities during times of health and disease based on Evidence Based Practice and Evidence Based Midwifery. The theoretical knowledge and skills of the midwives are based on the criteria of the WHO European strategy for the education of regulated non-medical professions and the directive of the European Commission - Directive 2013/55/EU, Act No. 201/2017 Coll., which amends Act No. 96 /2004 Coll., which are in accordance with current EU legislation and No. 39/2005 Coll. The fulfillment of the determined requirements of the professional education of midwives, its content, scope, structure, as well as the competences acquired during this period, will enable the free movement of graduates of this field in the labor market within the European Union. During the bachelor’s degree program, students are involved in research projects, and they will acquire a broad base that will enable them to continue onto the subsequent master's study program thus obtaining a master´s degree upon successful completion of the course.

Podmínky pro přijetí:
• úspěšné ukončení středního vzdělání s maturitní zkouškou,
• umístění na 1. až 35. místě podle pořadí bodového výsledku testů pro program Porodní asistence,
• uchazečům, kteří dosáhli stejného pořadí, jako přijatí na posledním místě, bude vydáno rozhodnutí se stejným výrokem o přijetí
• doklad o zkoušce z českého jazyka na úrovni C1 se dokládá zkouškou z českého jazyka na úrovni C1 a vyšší nebo státní jazykovou zkouškou z českého jazyka vykonanou na jazykové škole s právem státní jazykové zkoušky, nebo zkouškou z českého jazyka na úrovni C1 a vyšší uskutečněnou plnoprávným členem certifikované Asociace jazykových zkušebních institucí v Evropě-ALTE (platí pro uchazeče/ky, kteří/é chtějí studovat v českém jazyce a nemají maturitní zkoušku z češtiny nebo slovenštiny).

Průběh: Jednokolový v jednom dnu pro všechny uchazeče a uchazečky

Forma: Písemné testy a) ze znalostí biologie člověka (zahrnující obecnou biologii, fyziologii a somatologii) obsahující 40 otázek a
b) ze všeobecné vzdělanosti 20 otázek.
Otázky mají nabídku vždy pěti možných odpovědí, z nichž je třeba vybrat jen jednu správnou. K řešení testů bude poskytnuta
celková doba 120 min.

Hodnocení: Maximální výkony jsou v testu z biologie člověka 40 bodů a v testu ze všeobecné vzdělanosti 20 bodů a celkově 60 bodů.

Dle počtu získaných bodů v testech bude sestaveno vždy dílčí pořadí úspěšnosti v každém z nich. Výsledné pořadí uchazeče určí součet obou dílčích pořadí, když nejnižší hodnota součtu bude nejlepší a nejvyšší hodnota součtu bude nejhorší výsledek.

Bodové hodnocení odpovědí: správná odpověď 1 bod
nesprávná a žádná odpověď 0 bodů


V případě nepříznivé epidemické situace se přijímací zkoušky budou konat on-line formou. O formě přijímací zkoušky budou uchazeči/ky informováni/y na pozvánce k přijímací zkoušce nejpozději 30 dní před konáním přijímací zkoušky.

Admission to Bachelor's studies is conditioned by completed secondary education confirmed by a school-leaving certificate.

The midwife independently provides and ensures (without professional supervision and indication) basic and specialized care to pregnant women, women during delivery, women in puerperium as well as to physiological newborns. The midwife monitors the women, families and communities who she/he takes care of, in the areas of reproductive health. She/he considers the environment that they live in and their lifestyle. The midwife monitors the needs of the women in terms of their physical and psychological health, as well as socio-cultural, spiritual, behavioral, and cognitive areas in terms of any risks to their reproductive health. The midwife conveys the necessary information to the individual patients, the families and other groups in an adequate form and makes sure, that the information is understandable, and that the patient understands it; she/he also makes sure that the patients are fully aware of their condition. The midwife participates in the education of personnel and other allied health professionals and in the qualification and post-qualification education of students. The midwife supports the clients when suffering including accompanying the dying patient and perinatal loss. The midwife respects the roles of the other members of the multidisciplinary and multiprofessional team. In terms of coordination and completing the professional tasks, the midwife strengthens the mutual relationship and participates in all precautions in the interest of the patient's health. She/he performs all examinations and implements the treatment prescribed by a doctor in non-physiological conditions in the care of the women and newborns. She/he carefully documents the process of the provided midwifery care. She/he acquires new knowledge by participating in research work in the areas of midwifery, and in the care of women and children. The midwife like all healthcare professionals pursues further professional growth as a part of her/his postgraduate and continuous lifelong learning. She/hee searches for any health risks in the areas of midwifery and prevents the effects of those risks on the women and children. She/he should be able to work with modern information technologies and to participate in the decision-making processes in the areas of health policy and management, which are related to midwifery care. All of these tasks must be performed in accordance with the applicable legal norms, ethical principles and professional standards that apply to midwives in whichever country they are providing their professional activities.
