      The Doctoral Program of Pharmacology and Toxicology is focused on the study of drug interactions with the organism in terms of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and drug toxicity. Students of this program extend the basic theoretical knowledge of pharmacology and toxicology and gain expertise in experimental work with state-of-the-art methodologies of molecular and cellular pharmacology and genetics - in vitro, in situ, ex vivo and in vivo. Depending on the specialization of the study, graduates are experts in various aspects of pharmacology, including mechanisms of drug effects, drug interactions, metabolism and excretion. The Study Program of Pharmacology and Toxicology is suitable not only for those interested in experimental research but also for those who wish to continue in clinical practice. The standard length of study is four years.

      Rámcový obsah ústní přijímací zkoušky
      Ústní zkouška z obecné a speciální farmakologie a patobiochemie.
      Část zkoušky bude vedena v anglickém jazyce pro posouzení znalosti angličtiny (alespoň znalost na úrovni B2 je podmínkou).

      Podmínky přijetí
      Podmínkou přijetí ke studiu v doktorském studijním programu je řádné ukončení studia v magisterském studijním programu.

      Kritéria pro vyhodnocení přijímací zkoušky
      1. Úroveň odborných znalostí – posouzena na základě odpovědí na otázky z okruhu témat uvedených v Rámcovém obsahu přijímací zkoušky (lze získat max. 10 bodů).
      2. Předložený doktorandský projekt – hodnocena je komplexnost projektu, moderní metodické přístupy pro řešení a návaznost projektu na již řešená témata v oborové radě (lze získat max. 10 bodů).
      Minimální bodová hranice pro přijetí je 20 bodů ze 30.
      Děkan rozhodne o přijetí toho/těch uchazeče/uchazečů, který/kteří splnil/i podmínky přijímacího řízení a zároveň se podle počtu dosažených bodů umístil/i v pořadí odpovídajícím předem stanovenému předpokládanému počtu přijímaných uchazečů pro konkrétní program.

      Doplňující podmínky pro bonifikaci (např. praxe)
      • Řádně ukončené studium v magisterském studijním programu farmaceutického, lékařského nebo přírodovědného či biologického zaměření (hodnoceno 2 body).
      • Praxe v oboru (hodnoceno 3 body).
      • Uvedení předpokládaného školícího pracoviště a uvedení souhlasu konkrétního školitele s vedením plánovaného doktorandského projektu (hodnoceno max. 5 body).

    • Information about graduate employment

      Graduate of the Pharmacology and Toxicology study program is an expert in the field of theoretical, experimental and applied pharmacology and toxicology. The final expertise and experience vary among graduates depending on the individual study plan and their specialization during doctoral studies. By defending the dissertation, the graduate demonstrates that he/she is able to independently think scientifically, work and publish the results of his/her own scientific work in professional journals. Graduate will receive the Ph.D. and fulfills the prerequisites for further career growth in the fields that deal with drugs and their therapeutic and toxic effects. Graduates can find work in the pharmaceutical industry laboratories (e.g. preclinical/clinical research and development), in hospitals (e.g. molecular genetics laboratories) or in aca.
