Physiotherapy is a subject in a health care area focusing on diagnostics, functional therapy of movement system disorders. Physiotherapy also influences the functions of the other systems including the psychical one throughout the movement and other physiotherapeutical processes.
The Programme offers a 3 year study programme for secondary school with final state exam graduates. The programme is devided into 6 semesters and the students take courses in the areas which are necessary for the physiotherapeutical treatmet such as biology, anathomy, physiology, pathology, pathophysiology, biophysics, biomechanics and kinesiology. The courses based on physiotherapy such as Examination and Rherapeutic Methods in Physiotherapy, Introduction in Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, Balneology, and others (Internal Medicine, Surgery, Traumatology and Orthopaedics, Gynecology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Orthotics-Prosthetics) as well as the courses of prophylactic treatment such as Basics of Ergotherapy, Remedial physical education or Adapted PE for Handicaped People form the essencial part of the Study programme. The Study programme puts the emphasis on gaining practical skills which are required during the physiotherapetical procedures and treatment which take plece under a specialist supervision at the medical institutions. The curricular internship under the specialist supervision is also a part of the Study programme and is required every year. When the student gains 180 ECTS credits he or she takes the Final State Exam insluding Bachelor Thesis Defence, theoretical exams and practical medical institution exam.

Prokázání studijních předpokladů 

Uchazeč prokazuje studijní předpoklady absolvováním a výsledkem Národních srovnávacích zkoušek (NSZ) organizovaných společností www.scio.cz, s.r.o. v období od prosince 2024 do 15. května 2025 a to z testu Obecných studijních předpokladů (OSP) a z testu Biologie (BIO). Pokud se uchazeč zúčastní více než jednoho termínu NSZ, bude mu započítán nejlepší dosažený výsledek. Výsledky předá společnost www.scio.cz, s.r.o. Fakultě tělesné výchovy a sportu UK v elektronické podobě po 15.5.2025. Celkový výsledek zkoušky je dán součtem výsledků z obou částí a zaokrouhlen na jedno desetinné místo.

Ke studiu jsou přijati uchazeči s celkovým nejvyšším bodovým ziskem, kteří se u přijímací zkoušky umístí podle počtu dosažených bodů v předpokládaném počtu přijímaných. Tuto podmínku splní i všichni uchazeči, kteří dosáhnou stejného počtu bodů jako uchazeč, který se umístí na posledním místě v pořadí. Splní-li tuto podmínku větší počet uchazečů, rozhoduje pořadí nejlepších. O bodovém limitu pro přijetí ke studiu a počtu přijatých uchazečů v jednotlivých studijních programech rozhoduje děkan.

Admission to Bachelor's studies is conditioned by completed secondary education confirmed by a school-leaving certificate.

Odlišné podmínky pro přijetí platí pro uchazeče, kteří absolvovali program celoživotního vzdělávání uskutečňovaný na Fakultě tělesné výchovy a sportu UK s názvem Úvod do studia Fyzioterapie. Podmínkou pro přijetí je splnění předepsaných zápočtů a zkoušek v minimálním počtu 50 kreditů v akademickém roce 2024/25.

It can help people at all stages of life when their movement and function are compromised by age, injury, disease, disorder, conditions or environmental factors. A physiotherapist helps people to improve their quality of life to the maximum extent in terms of physical, emotional and social aspects. He is active in the health field of promotion, prevention, and treatment, including intervention and rehabilitation, to return the patient to everyday life.
