      Applications must be submitted online and payments must be made by 11:59:59 p.m. on 30th June 2025. Once the application has been filled in online, the Information System will generate a six-digit code for each applicant, which must be used as the specific symbol during the payment of the administrative fee. Please note that once the application has been completed, it must be submitted (by clicking on the Send button) in order to become valid. Applications submitted online should not be printed out and sent by post. The applicant failing to duly complete the application form or to document the payment of the application fee will be notified by the Faculty and asked to rectify the shortcomings within an adequate time. In the case of failure to rectify the shortcomings within this time, the application process will be terminated. The administrative fee will not be refunded. 

      Applicants from non-EU/EEA countries are advised to apply by April 30th.

      The program aims to prepare experts in sports training with a wide range of skills, including coaching, psychological, and social skills. Graduates can design and implement training programs for elite sports and sports for children and youth. Graduates find employment in various sports fields. The main options include professional sports, education, public sports organizations, specialized training facilities such as fitness centers, training centers, or rehabilitation centers, and own business.

      The applicant is required to attach to an Application form a/ a letter of motivation b/ a sports doctor’s confirmation that they can study at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, proof of qualifications (e.g. a legalised copy of documents certifying completion of secondary education in the case of a Bachelors programme, or a legalised copy of a Bachelor´s diploma in the case of a follow-up Masters degree programme), d/ curriculum vitae, e) letter of recommendation for study, f/ internationally recognised certificate proving the applicant’s English language skills. All the documents have to be officially translated into Czech or English language.

      In case the application is not correctly filled out, all required documents are not attached, or if the application fee was covered alongside the recognition fee payment (960 CZK), the Faculty will send out a Notice to eliminate shortcomings of the application or a Notice to pay an admission procedure fee within a time frame. Should the shortcomings not be eliminated within the set period, the application process will be terminated, and a Decision – Not Accepted will be issued. The administrative fee will not be refunded.

      Interview entrance exam - possibility of an online interview (Microsoft Teams)

      The total point gain is calculated as the average sum of points obtained from individual commission members and rounded to one decimal place.

      If the applicant obtains an average of less than one point in any part of the oral entrance examination, he has failed the entrance examination and cannot be admitted.

      In total, it is possible to get 0-30 points.

      The applicant will be invited to an interview by the Faculty based on meeting all the conditions of the admission procedure (submission of all mandatory attachments, payment of the fee).

      Proof of qualifications

      The applicant who completed the previous level of education at a foreign secondary school, must submit one of the following documents: a document proving that a foreign document concerning the obtainment of secondary education is generally recognised as equivalent or valid in the Czech Republic (so-called “nostrification”), or a document proving the granting of the European Baccalaureate, or a foreign document concerning a foreign secondary education completed with a “maturita” examination, if it is deemed automatically equivalent in the Czech Republic in accordance with its international agreements without any further administrative procedures (a “maturita school-leaving certificate” from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, or Slovenia), or a foreign document concerning a foreign secondary education to be assessed by the faculty (for a fee of CZK 960). Detailed information about the manner of proving fulfilment of the requirement of obtainment of secondary education with a “maturita” school-leaving certificate for graduates of foreign secondary schools is available on the faculty website in section: Self-financing Students (Bc and MA degree study)- https://www.ftvs.cuni.cz FTVSEN-30.html. The applicant must send the documents in hard copy form by post (the documents cannot be sent by email) to the address of the faculty: José Martího 31, 162 52 Praha 6  no later than on 30. 6. 2025. A fee payment is made together with the payment of the fee for the admission procedure or when the applicant asks for assessment of his foreign education in the admissions procedure.

      A graduate of the Coach study program is a qualified expert in sports training with comprehensive knowledge and skills needed to effectively lead athletes and sports teams. Knowledge in pedagogy, psychology, biomedicine, sports training, and general didactic procedures enables him to create training programs for different population groups. Graduates can work as coaches in sports clubs, personal trainers in fitness centers, or private practice. Graduates can also work in education, sports organizations, sports academies, and rehabilitation centers or provide professional advice in sports training.
