Postgraduate study in Physiology and Pathophysiology is focused on the investigation of functions of organs and organ systems during responses and adaptations to changes in the external and internal environments in health and disease. The transition from studies of indirect manifestations of certain functions to their own functional and regulatory mechanisms at the cellular and molecular levels predominates. The acquired knowledge is fundamental for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases.

      Study program without specialization.

The specialization in Physiology and Pathophysiology is focused on studies of the functions of organs and organ systems during body responses and adaptations under external and internal environmental changes in normal and pathological conditions. In the course of study the graduate obtains a broad theoretical basis of human physiology and pathophysiology. Experimental training in the field of cardio- and neuro-physiology and pathophysiology of mammals allows him to acquire highly specific practical skills and original scientific results. The graduates are then ready for careers in health related research or as university lecturers.
