1st Round of Admissions Procedure - MCQ
The Multiple-Choice exam tests the applicant’s knowledge and ability to be able to successfully study medicine at 1. LF UK. The MCQ is a Single Best Answer (SBA) exam, positively marked, composed of 3 papers – Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The individual scores from each paper are combined to give a final conglomerate score. There is only one correct answer for each question in the written test. Only a completely correctly answered question is evaluated by 1 point. There are 75 questions, and the maximum total score in the first round is 75 points.
The passing score to progress to the second round will be determined by the Dean based on the results of the first round of the entrance exam.
2nd Round of Admissions Procedure - Multiple-mini Interviews
4 separate interviews (lasting approximately 10 minutes each), performed sequentially - each with a different theme. The MMIs may include themes such as medical role-playing; medical ethics; views of health care; communication skills; teamwork; information interpretation; calculation of data; situational judgment; out-of-the-box thinking; amongst others. At each interview, a maximum of 10 points can be gained (the maximum total score for the second round is 40 points).
The 2nd round of the admission procedure will be performed online during the set dates after the MCQ. Candidates will be informed about the date in case of passing to the second round.
The passing score for admission will be determined by the Dean based on the results of the second round of the entrance exam.
The points obtained in the first and second rounds are not added; the acceptance is only based on the points received in the second round of the admission procedure.
In addition to passing the admissions procedure, proof of completion of secondary education is required.
If the applicant wishes the faculty to assess their education, the applicant must pay the fee for assessment of their education and submit the legalised documents proving completion of secondary education to the faculty no later than 31st August 2024. For detailed information, see our website -
