The study program is implemented within the scientific field of Kinanthropology. Research in Kinanthropology deals with the complex effects of intentional and spontaneous physical activity on the development of human personality in the bio-psycho-social context and conditions of the environment of physical education and sport, physiotherapy, health physical education, including their effective management. Kinanthropology, therefore, represents an interdisciplinary field requiring variability of the approach to solving research problems, in which a systemic approach with an accent on methodology has long been emphasized.

The postgraduate demonstrates a deep and systematic understanding of the scientific field of Kinanthropology and orientation in a broader scientific basis. According to the dissertation's focus, the postgraduate handles research methods. He demonstrates the ability of independent research work, academic and professional integrity, and compliance with scientific work principles. The graduate can critically analyze existing knowledge in the field of science and can communicate with the international scientific community on issues related to its narrower specialization and the broader social context, especially in the transfer of research knowledge into practice. As part of his studies, he created a work that contributed to expanding the boundaries of knowledge in Kinanthropology and part of which he presented at the national or international level. The postgraduate is also sufficiently linguistically equipped and can publish and present the results of his scientific work at the national and international levels within their own specific topic.

Each candidate must complete the admission procedure. The entrance exam takes place in front of the committee in the form of an oral interview and examines the student's ability to do scientific work in the field. The Commission shall evaluate according to the following criteria:

      1. Quality of the dissertation project and its elaboration – the applicant must submit the project proposal in writing with the following recommended structure:

      •        introduction, literature review, research question, objective, hypotheses according to the type and thematic focus of the project determination, methodology, expected outputs with the introduction of their practical point of view into the researched issues, financing, and possible domestic or foreign collaboration

The Commission evaluates the topic's novelty, the logical processing of the project annotation, and the overall overview of the selected topic.

The maximum number of points for the item is 35 points.

      2. The relationship of the topic to the focus of the potential supervisor, his research activities and ongoing projects within the cooperative, including overall compliance with the professional focus of the workplace/department and thus the entire faculty.

      - there must be an obvious connection between the proposed topic and the research focus of the supervisor and the workplace. Future inclusion of the doctoral student in the ongoing or planned projects of the supervisor and the workplace is expected, optimally including the solved funding of research activities.

Maximum number of points for the entire item – 10 points.

The applicant can find the information on supervisors at http://www.ftvs.cuni.cz/FTVS-177.html.

      3. Previous professional activity in fields related to the future topic, ideally in the field of Kinanthropology - previous activities related to the project are evaluated, preferably publication activities and also presentation at a scientific conference (IF WoS article - 20 points, article in the Scopus database - 12 points, an article in a peer-reviewed scientific journal – 6 points, an active presentation at a scientific conference – 4 points).

Magazine articles must only take the form of "original paper/study, letter, review."

The full number of points will be awarded to the candidate if they are the first author; the second co-author receives 75% points for the relevant item; the third co-author receives 50%; the fourth and another co-author gets 25%. Items can be cumulated.

The maximum number of points for the item is 20 points.

      4. The method of project presentation and the applicant's ability to respond and questions asked.

The maximum number of points for the item is 15 points.

      5. Level of presentation and communication skills in English.

During the interview, the candidate is asked to conduct a part of the project proposal or discussion with commission members in the English language. The candidate's ability to present and discuss professional topics in English is assessed.

The maximum number of points for the item is 20 points.

Each member of the Commission evaluates paragraph 1 in the range of 0-35, paragraph 2 in the range of 0-10 points, paragraph 3 in the range of 0-20 points, paragraph 4 in the range of 0-15 points, and paragraph 5 in the range of 0-20 points. The maximum possible number of points from one assessor is, therefore, 100. The arithmetic average is calculated from the point evaluation of individual members of the Commission. Rounding will be to integers - for scores of 0.0-0.49 down to the nearest integer, and for scores of 0.50-0.99 upwards, to the nearest whole number. The final number of points determines the order of candidates. The minimum threshold for admission is 50 points.
