1) By March 15, 2023, the applicant must submit a motivation letter (500 - 700 words), proof of English competency at B2 level or higher, a structured CV, and an academic paper in English. The paper must be no less than 15 pages in length and adhere to standards of academic writing. The paper can be the applicant's bachelor’s thesis or its summary, an article published in an academic journal, or any other academic text.
In the required materials, applicants are asked to demonstrate their academic abilities, knowledge and skills for the study of the field on a graduate level. The application materials will be evaluated and scored by an interdisciplinary selection committee. Applicants can reach a maximum of 10 points. The acceptance threshold will be decided by the Dean in the context of the admission numbers and the faculty's available capacity.
2) The admission requirements also include submitting a copy of the applicant’s Bachelor’s or Master’s diploma. The deadline for admitted applicants to submit a copy of their Bachelor's or Master's diploma and diploma supplement is September 30, 2023. Applicants who won't get a recognition of their foreign diploma until the end of September are allowed to complete the recognition process no later than October 22, 2023.
Those applicants who graduated outside the Czech Republic are required to provide recognition of their foreign diploma. The applicant submits one of the following documents: a document obtained in accordance with sections 89 and 90 of the Higher Education Act proving general recognition of a foreign higher education in the Czech Republic (so-called general "nostrification"); or a foreign document concerning foreign higher education if it is deemed automatically equivalent in the Czech Republic in accordance with its international agreements without any further administrative procedures (a higher education diploma and diploma supplement from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, or Slovenia); or a foreign document concerning foreign higher education to be assessed by the Faculty (for a fee of CZK 880).
