The field of study Psychology with the extension of special pedagogy is focused on acquiring basic professional knowledge and skills in psychological and selected special-pedagogical fields that are relevant to psychology. Emphasis is placed on the basic theoretical disciplines of psychology (ie general, developmental, social psychology, personality psychology, history of psychology) and on the methodology of psychological research (ie research design, methodological paradigms, methods of data collection and analysis) and applied disciplines ( eg educational psychology, work psychology, etc.). The study is primarily academically oriented and it is therefore expected to continue in the follow-up Master's degree programs in psychology or related fields. At the same time, however, the study offers sufficient knowledge and skills of a practical character to enable them to work on the labor market, especially in assistant positions in schools, counseling and special educational facilities, social care institutions, etc. for this, it is also necessary to complete a follow-up Master's study. The study program is compatible with the requirements of the European standards EuroPsy, facilitating student and graduate international mobility.
