1) By April 15, 2022, the applicant will submit a motivation letter, structured CV (curriculum vitae) and an academic paper in English before the application deadline. The paper should be no less than 15 pages in length and prove your knowledge, skills and talent for study in the program for which you are applying. The paper can be your defended bachelor’s thesis or its summary, an article published in an academic journal or any new essay that you choose to represent you and your academic knowledge. A. Theoretical conceptions of Historical Sociology and its main representatives.
B. Problems of social change and long-term developmental processes in various areas of social life.
C. Modernization, globalization and their role in contemporary society.
D. Changes in everyday life, religion, and culture.
E. Nations and nationalism then and today.
Dean of the faculty decides whether papers that the applicant submits meet the requirements.
2) Applicants have to submit a notarized copy of their bachelor's or master's diploma.
Deadline for applicants/admitted applicants to submit a copy of their bachelor's or master's diploma and diploma supplement is September 30, 2022. Applicants who won't get a recognition of their foreign diploma till the end of September are allowed to submit a copy of their diploma along with a copy of a recognition of foreign education no later than October 22, 2022.
Those applicants who graduated outside the Czech Republic are required to provide recognition of their foreign diploma. The applicant submits one of the following documents: a document obtained in accordance with sections 89 and 90 of the Higher Education Act proving general recognition of a foreign higher education in the Czech Republic (so-called general "nostrification"); or a foreign document concerning a foreign higher education if it is deemed automatically equivalent in the Czech Republic in accordance with its international agreements without any further administrative procedures (a higher education diploma and diploma supplement from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, or Slovenia); or a foreign document concerning a foreign higher education to be assessed by the Faculty (for a fee of CZK 870).
