Studium patofyziologických mechanizmů spojených s onemocněním jater a ledvin a jejich možného příznivého ovlivnění farmakoterapií. Studium kardiotoxicity léčiv a farmakologické kardioprotekce.

Přijímací zkouška je ústní. Cílem je ověřit znalosti uchazeče z oblasti farmakologie (v rozsahu pregraduální vysokoškolské výuky), motivaci a předpoklady k vědecké práci.

Podmínky přijetí
Podmínky pro bonifikaci: vzdělání lékařské, farmaceutické, veterinární, přírodovědné zaměření: 0-20 b.;
Další podmínky: znalost anglického jazyka (doklad o zkoušce z anglického jazyka na úrovni B2): 0-5 b.; pregraduální zkouška z farmakologie v magisterském studiu: 0-10 b.; dosavadní vědecká činnost (zkušenosti s výzkumnými projekty): 0-5 b.

Admission to Doctoral studies is conditioned by successful completion of a Master's study programme.

Graduates of the doctoral (Ph.D.) study program Medical Pharmacology can act and think independently and creatively in experimental or clinical pharmacology; they also have deep knowledge of general and special pharmacology and of the basis of toxicology. Besides they have good knowledge of literature related especially to the topic of their thesis. Graduates have gained new facts and methodological approaches related to the scientific principles of developing new drugs, assessment of the drug effects and the use of drugs according to the rational and individual therapy and Evidence Based Medicine. Graduates are able to work with scientific literature, present the results of their work in the form of full text publications and lectures and to discuss on scientific basis.
