Admission requirements
The written test includes a multiple-choice test in Chemistry (50 questions), Biology (30 questions), and Botany (20 questions). In addition, the English language level will be tested by an English grammar test (40 questions).
Students will obtain points only for correct answers. They will get 1 point for each correct answer in Chemistry, Biology, and Botany. In addition, they will get 0.5 points for each correct answer in the English language test. If the applicant does not answer a particular question correctly or does not answer the question at all, the applicant will not obtain minus points, which would be deducted from the total score obtained for correct answers.
Admission to Master's studies is conditioned by completed secondary education confirmed by a school-leaving certificate. Admission to Post-Bachelor studies (Master's programme) is likewise conditioned by completed education in any type of study programme.

Different conditions for the admission of applicants to the Pharmacy study program:
- for students who studied the Pharmacy study program at a Faculty of Pharmacy in Czech or English language in the Czech Republic in the 2025/2026 academic year.
The dean will decide on admission if all of the following conditions are met:
1. Basic condition for admission:
The basic condition for admission is studying of the Faculty of Pharmacy study program at a pharmaceutical faculty in the Czech Republic in the academic year 2025/2026. As part of this study, the applicant must have obtained at least 230 credits.
2. Additional conditions for admission:
2.1. Submission of a paper application on the prescribed form (SEVT form) by September 1, 2026.
2.2. Submission of an officially certified copy of a document certifying completion of secondary education with a school-leaving examination. Information on the procedure for recognition of Secondary school education from abroad is available on the website Assessment of Foreign Education | Faculty of Pharmacy, Charles University (cuni.cz).
2.3. Successful completion of study requirements with a minimum of 230 credits must be proved documented by a transcript of completed study requirements.
2.4. Proof of enrolment in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Twenty-five applicants are expected to be accepted. If the number of applications exceeds this expected number, applicants will be ranked according to their grade point average obtained during their previous studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
As part of the admission procedure, applicants must submit:
- a transcript of completed study requirements from the Pharmacy study program, confirmed by the study department of the faculty,
- an officially certified copy of proof of secondary school completion.
Application deadline: applications, including the required documents, must be submitted by September 1, 2026.
Options for waiving the entrance exam
Applicants for the master's study program in Pharmacy may be allowed to waive the entrance exam with the following results from the International Baccalaureate Exam:
ü Mandatory: HL or SL Biology (minimum score of 5 if HL, minimum score of 6 if SL)
ü One subject from Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics (minimum score of 5 if HL, minimum score of 6 if SL)
ü Overall IB Score: A minimum total of 32 points.*
*If the applicant did not take six subjects on the IB exam and as a result does not reach 32 points overall, but all other requirements are met, their available IB scores and overall academic performance will be considered for exemption from the entrance exam on a case-by-case basis
