The doctoral study programme Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology uses the principles of evidence-based medicine to assess the impact of various factors (physical, chemical, environmental, biological) on human health at the individual and population level to identify possible prevention approaches.

The programme integrates knowledge and approaches from toxicology, molecular biology, and immunology, including clinically oriented disciplines. The programme represents a theoretical basis for preventive disciplines in medicine, e.g. public health, epidemiology and biostatistics.

The programme is carried out without any specialization.
