Successful completion of postgraduate fellowship/study in Anatomy, Histology and Embryology furnishes the students with skills to work in this field, as well as participation in clinical practice, for example, in the research of cardiovascular system, apparatus of locomotion or peritoneal membrane. Structural and biochemical analysis of extremity bones will be used, for example, for evaluation of bone fractures (in cooperation with the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Faculty Hospital in Pilsen). Scientific experiences/erudition of postgraduate students will enable them to be successfully involved in research planning and also in international research projects (for example the study of histology changes in abdominal aorta aneurysm specimens). Among specific features of this study programme are macro- and microanatomy, including new methods (stereology methods - quantitative histology; immunohistochemistry and others).
