This course introduces the basic political transformation and political theory in the context of historical processes. Emphasis is placed on the reflection historicity and contextuality of the political forms. Students in the course will acquire knowledge of the theoretical assumptions, on which the historical-sociological view of politics, power, and international relations is based. They will become familiar with the basic concepts that are relevant to the area and will learn to view and analyze real political phenomena and events.

Kurs seznamuje se základními proměnami politiky a politické teorie v kontextu historických procesů. Akcent je položen na reflexi historicity a kontextuality politických forem. Studenti si v rámci kursu osvojí znalost teoretických předpokladů, na kterých je historicko-sociologický pohled na politiku, moc a mezinárodní vztahy založen, seznámí se se základními koncepcemi, jež jsou pro danou oblast relevantní a naučí se nazírat a analyzovat reálné politické jevy a události jejich prizmatem.
