This comprehensive exam in philosophical anthropology uses philosophical disputation both to test students'
knowledge of fundamental philosophical concepts, and to assess their ability to debate a given philosophical
issue, while drawing from the relevant readings of their choice.
The exam consists of the following parts:
a) The relevance of the student's philosophical reading: One part of the exam is based on the evaluation of the list
of relevant philosophical
literature which students have read. The aim is to evaluate the student's ability to choose philosophically relevant
literature, to use it when finding answer to philosophical questions (quaestiones disputatae) or to defend his/her
choice and present the issues of the chosen reading. Students are required to choose the literature from three
different sources: 1. Elective texts for the exam "Introduction to History"; 2. philosophically relevant texts from the
"Guided Readings" program; 3. texts which are worked with in another courses offered by Philosophical module.
The list of reading is given in before the exam and is evaluated separately. This evaluation is the crucial one and
influences the student's further ambitions but can be modified due to the student's work with literature during the
exam. The proper use of literature in answering the philosophical questions (quaestiones disputatae) is evaluated
as well. While answering the questions the student should not refer to the literature other than mentioned in the list.
Thus the list
of literature creates the particular intellectual field for disputation. The student's knowledge and understanding of
the
literature from the list is evaluated as well.
b) The disputation on a philosophical question (quaestiona disputata): The main sense of this crucial part of the
exam is
presentation of student’s ability of philosophical thinking of a drawn question and adequate use of concepts and
attitudes of the chosen texts in the list. The student draws one of the forty philosophical questions which are known
in advance and is given time to prepare the answers. During the oral part of the exam the student is required to
formulate the basic issue, to develop it and to present it in a broader perspective which can be complemented,
compared or opposed each other. The debate with the commission is an important part of the exam.
The commission
evaluates if the student is able to formulate the issue, to rationally justify the presented perspectives and to discuss
and
argue about it.
c) The kKnowledge of basic philosophical concepts: The ability of knowing and using basic philosophical concepts
is
evaluated and additional questions are given. Recommended literature for the basic philosophical concepts:

For the successful completion of the exam the student has to succeed in all three parts. The total evaluation is
based primarily on the crucial part of the exam - the disputation on a philosophical question (quaestiona
disputata).
Other two parts of the exam have only corrective character.

Souborná zkouška z filosofické antropologie je povinná zkouška, která je dotována deseti kredity. O složení této
zkoušky se studenti/ky mají pokusit do konce 4. semestru studia.
Kvalitní přípravu a zároveň dostatečnou bázi pro složení zkoušky zajišťuje vlastní četba filosoficky relevantních
textů, jejichž seznam adept/ka předkládá při zahájení zkoušky. Tento seznam vlastní četby musí obsahovat
minimálně 12 titulů, které si student/ka volí ze seznamu povinně-volitelné literatury (konkrétní požadavky pro výběr
literatury jsou upřesněny v záhlaví seznamu povinně-volitelné literatury platného pro dané období). Samotná
zkouška má komisionelní charakter a spočívá v disputaci nad vylosovanou otázkou (kvestií), jejichž seznam je
předem zveřejněn výše v souborech ke stažení. V této disputaci má adept/ka předvést, že dokáže samostatně
formulovat téma, které je obsaženo v zadané kvestii. Toto téma by poté mělo být rozvinuto za pomoci koncepcí a
postojů obsažených v přečtených textech, a to pokud možno ve vícero perspektivách, které lze navzájem
doplňovat, srovnávat či postavit proti sobě. Komise u disputace hodnotí schopnost formulovat možná témata a
problémy zadané kvestie, dále hodnotí rozpracování problému za využití předložené literatury a argumentační
zdůvodnění předvedených perspektiv, a nakonec hodnotí i schopnost vést věcně diskusi, schopnost argumentace
a schopnost soudnosti. Přípravu na tuto zkoušku, seznam literatury, způsob vypracování kvestií apod. lze
konzultovat (a velmi to doporučujeme) s kterýmkoli členem Filosofického modulu.

Způsob registrace termínu k vykonání zkoušky:
Konkrétní termíny zkoušky jsou vypisovány prostřednictvím Studijního informačního systému (funkce "Termíny zkoušek …"). Termíny jsou vypisovány rovnoměrně během období výuky i během zkouškového období, vyjma září. Ve zkouškovém období v září jsou otevírány pouze termíny opravné.
Upozornění: V celkovém úhrnu všech termínů bude v daném semestru vypsáno vždy dostatečné množství míst tak, aby se dostalo na všechny potencionální adepty. Avšak vzhledem k omezeným časovým, prostorovým i personálním kapacitám není možné na konci semestru vypisovat další dodatečné termíny. Z toho plyne, že je potřeba využít všech vypsaných termínů, k čemuž je ovšem zapotřebí včas zahájit přípravu na zkoušku (nejlépe se začít připravovat hned od začátku 3. semestru v návaznosti na zkoušku Úvod do filosofie).
