This is one of the "Important Books" listed for the guided reading programme at the Faculty of Humanities; as an integral part of the undergraduate liberal curriculum, this programme offers an opportunity to enhance students' knowledge in the humanities and social sciences, and thus helps the students not only to improve their preparation for the compulsory comprehensive exams, but also to gain deeper insight into the subject matters which they pursue in their final bachelor's thesis.

Žádám práci ve formě konspektu - přehlednou (odkazy, citace), prokázat schopnost sledovat dílčí souvislosti v rámci celého textu; ze zkušeností - velmi dobrá práce by měla mít rozsah kolem 10-12 normostran; práce s rozsahem do 5 nebo více než 15 stran zpravidla mají o poznání nižší kvalitu; U kolokvia student obhajuje obeznámenost s tématy zpracovaného textu, kterou vypracováním písemné práce deklaruje. Během kolokvia je tudíž dotazován na témata a výklady daného textu. Výsledný počet kreditů je určován jak kvalitou písemné práce, tak výsledkem ústního kolokvia. V případě nejistoty a nejasností v postupu zpracování textu a ve výběru důležitých témat daného textu doporučuji práci předem konzultovat.
