The Biblical and Patristic sources on Christology are read slightly differently in each generation and in each
culture, and yet the vital themes return to be interpreted. The course sets out to investigate who Jesus Christ is for
21st century Christians. After an introductory lecture on the shifts of religiosity in contemporary Europe, the seminar
will explore a variety of current voices responding to the question, who is Christ. Students will read and interpret
theological texts, listen to music, and engage with fine art.
