The probability of an individual becoming part of a physical conflict situation at least once in their life is relatively high. Basic literacy and orientation in such situations are therefore advantageous for almost everyone. From the perspective of physical education, the topic of self-defense fulfills several key competencies. In this course, students will become familiar with the basic principles of resolving self-defense situations, the versatile use of techniques, and they will learn how to create appropriate didactic sequences.

The student is familiar with basic tactical principles of self-defense.

The student can establish a stable posture in various situations.

The student possesses a flexible and reliable striking technique adapted for self-defense needs.

The student can assess the significance of individual grips and can direct efforts towards extrication.

The student is proficient in ground self-defense and understands the hierarchy of positions.

The student can devise drills for the above-mentioned aspects and use appropriate teaching methods.

The student can systematically frame techniques and evaluate their suitability for resolving specific situations.
