PSZZ242 - Theoretical State Exam Physiology and Pathological Physiology

  1.  Obstructive and restrictive disorders, respiratory insufficiency, hypoxia.   
  2. Pathophysiology of NS: disorders of afferentation and efferentation of the locomotor system.   
  3. Pathophysiology of tumorigenesis.   
  4. Neuromuscular system involvement, peripheral nerve damage. Diagnostic methods.   
  5. Invasive and non-invasive methods: options (types), indications, complications.   
  6. Stress, stress threshold.   
  7. Nutritional disorders.   
  8. Physical stress: reactive and adaptive changes in patients with respiratory disorders.   
  9. Etiopathogenesis of circulatory disorders, compensatory mechanisms. Physical activity and its importance in cardiovascular diseases (hypertension, IHD).  
  10. Physical stress: reactive and adaptive changes in patients with metabolic disorders (DM, obesity, metabolic syndrome, etc.). The importance of physical activity.  
  11. DM and other common endocrinopathies.   
  12. Pathophysiology of the musculoskeletal system. Locomotor activity in skeletal and musculoskeletal disorders.  
  13. Pathophysiology of inflammation.   
  14. Pain.   
  15. Immune disorders.  
  16. Preventive examination. Examination of the cardiovascular system. ECG, Stress tests.   
  17. Specifics of physical activity in children, women and the elderly.   
  18. Nosocomial infections. Hygiene of health care facilities.   
  19. Sudden death in sport. Injuries, chronic injuries in sport. Consequences of inactivity.  
  20. First aid for immediate life threat (unconsciousness, resuscitation, arrest of bleeding).   
  21. First aid for spinal, head, trunk and limb injuries.  
  22. First aid for acute non-traumatic conditions (MI, stroke, DM, asthma, epilepsy).  
  23. First aid for thermal injuries and intoxications (burns, frostbite, overheating, hypothermia, poisoning). 
  24. Travel medicine - the most common health risks of travel, prevention.
