The subject inform students about rather wide spectrum of diagnostic procedures and methods, which can be used in all branches of the educational proces. The subjects is mainly focused on those diagnostic methods which are usable in physical education. Students will learn how to work with clinical as well as with test tools of pedagogical and psychological diagnostics. Further, students will also learn how to evaluate these methods and how to assess and interpret the results. Based on above mentioned, students will also learn how to create suitable educational and tranining courses.

Lectures:

1. Basic terms; types, tasks and goals of a diagnostics

2. Principles and phases of a diagnostic proces; problems of a diagnostic work; diagnostic competences

3. Diagnostic methods and techniques in physical education: observation, interview, anamnesis, studying of pedagogical documentary materials)

4. Diagnostic methods and techniques in physical education: testing, (special diagnostic methods)

5. Investigation of the personality of pupils/students/athletes

6. Didactical diagnostics in physica education, a control, an evidence, a marking

7. School and school class (tools of a diagnostic of interpersonal relation in a class, tools of a diagnostic of a class climate, tools for a measuring a school climate)

Exercises:

1. A game as an important diagnostic tool

2. Autodiagnostics of a pedagog, projective methods

3. Recording and evaluation of an observation and other methods (assessment scales, a cummulatice card)

4. Comprehensive test batheries (diagnostics in physical education: synthesis of data, conclusions, diagnosis, prognosis)

5. Tests for particular motoric abilities, assessing scales for motoric abilities, evaluation of total energy demands of motion activitiest etc. (recording sheets, motivational topics)

6. Psychodiagnostic tools focesed on the student personality: focus, goal orientation (EGO/TASK), temperament (EYSENCK) etc.; Psychodiagnostic tools for an exploration of a class climate (SORAD, Class compass, questionnaires B-3, B-4, D-1)
