The subject focuses on the creation of a theoretical background and professional skills for the choice of content and methods and for the management of movement activities in water with the aim of regeneration and reconditioning of athletes and the general population. The exercises aim at movement experience with specifically focused swimming locomotion and exercises in water. The student will gain experience with the management of safe and functionally oriented movement activities in the water.

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, the student is able to:

  • Apply in practice methodologies and trends in the planning, management and implementation of regenerative and reconditioning training in water for athletes and the general population.
  • Create, manage and implement regeneration and reconditioning programs in the water for performance athletes with various sports orientations and the general population.
  • Create and implement individual movement programs in water aimed at optimizing the recovery process of all limiting systems of the human organism after sports training or after finishing leisure-time movement activities.
  • Practically apply regeneration and reconditioning procedures in water in model situations.

The aim of the subject is to obtain:

- movement experience with specifically focused swimming locomotion and exercises in water

- acquire an inventory of suitable exercises for the regeneration and rehabilitation of an individual with different sports orientation

- theoretical background for organizing an exercise program in water with the aim of regeneration, reconditioning
