The subject is focused on the theoretical background for one's own movement development in the water and on the practical acquisition of basic swimming skills, techniques of swimming crawls, breaststroke, backstroke in model technique, on mastering the technique of swimming turns, starting jump and special swimming training for saving drowning people. The subject also supports the building of students' didactic competences in the implementation of movement activities in water.

The aim of the subject is to master the correct technique of swimming styles (crawl, backstroke, breaststroke), turns and starts. It also focuses on mastering the basics of water rescue, modifying swimming styles and developing muscle fitness through movement training in the water.

After passing and completing the course, the student understands the importance and influence of the physical properties of the aquatic environment on the human organism (intact population and OSP).

The student is able to demonstrate the correct technique of swimming styles, starts and turns.

The student can describe the key points of the technique of all swimming styles, turns and starts.

As part of the development of muscular fitness, the student will be able to complete movement training in water.

The student knows the modifications of swimming methods for the intact population and for OSP.

The student masters the basics of water rescue (floating, treading water, helping a tired swimmer, etc.)
