The content of the subject expands the theoretical knowledge, practical skills and didactic competence of students in the creation of movement programs in water. These programs are focused on swimming lessons, movement training in water, aqua-fitness, health swimming or programs with experiential content that can be used both in school physical education and in the environment of leisure activities or sports. The structuring of the curriculum, illustrative examples and practical exercises enable students to apply the acquired knowledge, skills and didactic competence to the management of programs with this content. A graduate of the course is able to independently and creatively create and implement programs for different groups of the population, focused on the cultivation of movement expression in water, the development of muscular fitness or movement hypokinesis.
Aim of the course -
Last update: PhDr. Kristýna Hubená, Ph.D. (31.08.2023)

The course builds on the knowledge, skills and competences acquired by completing subjects with a didactic focus in the bachelor's section of study. It creates a theoretical background for the creation of exercise programs in the water with a specific focus on the improvement stage of swimming lessons, the application of experiential exercises or the diagnosis of swimming techniques and swimming fitness. It also expands the theoretical knowledge and didactic skills of future physical education teachers in the field of organizing exercise programs in water focused on exercise training in water, aqua-fitness, medical or rescue swimming. Practical lessons are then focused on the development of students' didactic competences during the organization of these programs.

The aim of the subject is to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary for the creation of movement programs in water based on swimming locomotion as well as on activities of a different nature. The graduate is able to independently and creatively create, implement and teach activities in the aquatic environment for various groups of the population, aimed at cultivating movement expression, swimming education and stimulating movement creativity.

The course is intended for students of the 1st year of the follow-up master's study programs Teaching physical education for secondary schools and Teaching physical education and military physical education for secondary schools.
