The ability to swim includes mastering basic swimming skills as well as mastering all swimming methods (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, crawl), turns and starting jump. The next step in swimming education is to acquaint students with the procedures for teaching swimming skills and swimming methods in the individual stages of swimming lessons.

The aim of the course is to provide a theoretical background in the field of swimming didactics and swimming sports. The exercises are aimed at building and developing the students' didactic competences.

After passing and completing the course, the student understands the importance and influence of the physical properties of the aquatic environment on the human organism.

The student understands the influence of the physical properties of water in relation to the acquisition of basic swimming skills and swimming methods.

The student knows and can describe the key points of swimming techniques, turns and starts.

The student is able to demonstrate basic swimming skills, swimming methods (crawl, backstroke, breaststroke), swimming turns and starts.

The student is able to demonstrate elements from the field of swimming sports - the "Propeller" fin movement, from water polo: individual game activities - dribbling, passing in pairs and shooting, from jumping into the water: falling backwards, performing bent over.

The student is able to independently plan, manage and evaluate a program focused on practicing basic swimming skills, swimming styles, turns and starts. He is able to respond adequately to the current conditions and possibilities (health, exercise, etc.) of the pupils.

As part of the preparation and implementation of the program, he can choose adequate tools and use them effectively.

The student knows the didactic management styles of teaching and, if necessary, can use them during the implementation of the program.

The student is able to evaluate the compiled program, the teaching lesson and the teaching of the lesson by another person/student.
