The course focuses on the diagnosis of techniques, error correction and improvement of individual execution of the technique individual swimming styles. From the area of swimming fitness, the course acquaints students with the basics of movement training in water (swimming to maintain and develop swimming fitness, aqua-fitness, health swimming) and water rescue. Part of the course are short didactic outputs of students.

The aim of the subject is to introduce students to the diagnostics of swimming technique and to improve their swimming level in individual swimming techniques by means of technical exercises, movement training in water. Furthermore, the subject introduces students to various forms of aqufittnes and the basics of water rescue and medical swimming.

After passing and completing the subject, the student understands the importance and influence of swimming on human health and its inclusion in various exercise programs. The student is able to clarify basic deviations in swimming movements by means of individual diagnostics of swimming movements and further propose possible corrective solutions or provide feedback. The student can prepare a swimming pool for the purposes of teaching and swimming training, including the use of swimming aids. The student can interpret a swimming topic in a short speech or briefly lead classmates in a swimming lesson. The student can name and describe some forms of aquafitnes. The student manages the basic handling of aquafittnes equipment in the water. The student manages to modify swimming techniques in the water for medical swimming purposes. At the same time, the student can interpret the possible risks of staying in the water environment and the importance of basic hygiene habits at the pool. The student masters the special skills of a water rescuer and can modify them in various situations, including self-defense and personal intervention.
