The content of the subject verifies the basic swimming competence of the students. It provides them with information and practical experience with health-oriented swimming programs. These programs are intended for different groups of the population and focus in particular on the cultivation of a person's movement expression in the water, the development of muscular fitness and the compensation of movement hypokinesia. Graduates of the course are able to apply the acquired knowledge and skills to work with clients in treatment facilities as well as in private practice.

The aim of the subject is the development of students' swimming competence and the acquisition of practical experience with the implementation of health-oriented swimming programs.

After passing and completing the course, the student understands the importance and influence of the physical properties of the aquatic environment on the human organism (intact population and OSP).

The student is able to demonstrate basic swimming skills, swimming methods (crawl, backstroke, breaststroke), turns and starts, modifications of swimming methods for the intact population and OSP, masters the basics of rescue swimming (treading water, diving below the surface, techniques to help a tired swimmer, etc.).

The student got acquainted with various types of health-oriented programs in water, e.g. aqua-fitness, movement training in water, etc.

The student knows the key points of the technique of basic swimming skills, swimming styles (crawl, backstroke, breaststroke), turns and starts.

The student can diagnose swimming technique and provide adequate feedback and correction.
